Angel - A typically benevolent celestial being that acts as an intermediary between heaven and earth, especially in Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and Zoroastrianism.   Apparition - The projection or manifestation of a quasi-physical entity.   Banishing - used for one or more rituals in ceremonial magic intended to remove non-physical influences ranging from spirits to negative influences. It is used in most cases before and after a main ritual.   Demon - An evil supernatural being; a devil. A persistently tormenting person, force, or passion. This is an entity that is very hostile and of non-human origin.   Elemental - a mythological being first appearing in the alchemical works of Paracelsus. There are four types: Gnomes, Undines, Sylphs, and Salamanders.   Empath - An individual who is particularly sensative to the psychic emanations of his or her surroundings, even to a degree of telepathically receiving and experiencing the emotions of others in their proximity.   Entity - A Disembodied spirit, ghost, or demon.   E.V.P. (Electronic Voice Phenomena) - Disembodied "voices" and/or sounds imprinted on audio recording devices. Not heard by human ear at time of sound.   Exorcism - Ceremonial expulsion of invading demonic/spiritual entities from a person or dwelling, present in virtually every worldly culture. The Jewish and Catholic Christian faiths each have a formal 'Rite of Exorcism' to be conducted by a Priest or Rabbi.   Floating Orb - Spherical image, usually translucent white, sometimes blue or red in color. This image is often seen in photographs and video recordings. The majority of orb sightings on video or photos is actually dust or bugs.   Ghost - be the disembodied spirit or soul of a deceased person.    Haunting -  The manifestation of a ghostly presence, or presences, attached to a specific location. There are four categories of Hauntings: Intelligent, Residual, Poltergeist, and Demonic.   Intelligent (Haunting) - are hauntings in which a ghost/entity interacts with the present. These types of entities may communicate with those on an earthly plane.   Paranormal -  The realm of occurrences and phenomena removed from those to which people are accustomed and comprehend, and presently uncategorized by standard academia.   Poltergiest -  German for "noisy ghost." This is an extremely rare occurrence wherein random objects are moved and sounds produced by an unseen force, the sole purpose of which seems to be to draw attention to itself.  The phenomenon always involves a specific individual, frequently a child or adolescent.   Residual (Haunting) - An imprint of a scene which is repeatedly played out, where the witness of such phenomenon essentially is peering into the past. The ghostly participants of these time-displacements often seem unaware of their living observers.
